Getting started

1. Install

  1. Run Velocity-Setup.exe.
  2. If Windows asks, choose Yes or Run.
  3. Keep "Start with Windows" ticked so Velocity is ready in the tray.

2. Connect your browser

  1. Open Start → Connect Velocity to Chrome.
  2. Follow the two clicks shown.
  3. A ⚡ Velocity icon appears in the browser toolbar.

3. Download

  1. Click any download link, or hover a video and click Download.
  2. Pick quality and folder in the info window.
  3. Click Start download.

Troubleshooting

A video won't download
  1. Wait a moment and try again. Velocity updates its video engine automatically, and a fix may already be on its way.
  2. Open Help → Check for updates to update now.
  3. For members-only videos, make sure you're signed in to the site in your browser.
  4. Still failing? Email us the page address.
The Download button doesn't appear on videos
  1. Check the ⚡ Velocity icon is in your browser's toolbar.
  2. Open chrome://extensions and make sure Velocity is switched on. Click the reload icon on it.
  3. Reload the video page.
Downloads are slower than expected
  1. Check no speed limit is set in Settings.
  2. Raise Connections to 16 or 32 in Settings.
  3. Some servers limit every user to a slow speed. Velocity can't go faster than the server allows.
The browser downloads files itself instead of Velocity

Make sure Velocity is running (look for its icon in the system tray). If it's closed, the extension starts it automatically the next time you download.

Windows SmartScreen shows a warning

New apps can show this until Windows recognises them. Check the publisher is Zemaris, then click More info → Run anyway.

MP3 or HD video fails to save

These need FFmpeg, which the installer adds automatically. If it was skipped, run the installer again, or email us for help.

Licence & activation

Activate in 20 seconds

  1. Copy the licence key from your purchase email. It starts with VEL-.
  2. In Velocity, open Help → Licence.
  3. Paste the key and click Activate.

Your key is checked on your PC and works offline. Lost your key? Email us from the address you bought with.

Uninstall

Open Windows Settings → Apps → Installed apps, find Velocity by Zemaris, and choose Uninstall. Your downloaded files are not removed.
